AUSTRALIA’S DIGITAL ECONOMY: CONNECTING BANKS AND WEB3
TradeEnabler is pleased to announce that our Co-Founder,
@Hervé Lacorne, will join the
Digital Trade Forum panel hosted by the
Digital Economy Council of Australia (DECA) in Brisbane on 3 September.
The digital economy cannot develop separately from the institutions that underpin the wider economy—particularly banks.
“I do not believe laws should be written around a particular technology. Laws should support legitimate business activity and evolve when necessary to improve efficiency, competition and inclusion; technology should then adapt to those laws.
That is the principle behind TradeEnabler. We use SWIFT messaging and the existing international banking framework to bring the efficiencies of blockchain to financial institutions—while enabling Web3 to benefit from the legal, regulatory and governance infrastructure that makes banking trusted.”
— Hervé Lacorne, Co-Founder of TradeEnabler and Founder & CEO of Winstant
This vision of Governed Digital Finance is available today on the @XDC Network.
Our objective is to enable SWIFT-connected financial institutions to participate in decentralized settlement. A decentralized CLS-style model, supported by bank-issued deposit tokens, can expand trusted settlement beyond today’s correspondent-banking relationships—creating a worldwide opportunity for financial inclusion.
Australia also presents an important opportunity for the integration of WorldKYC’s zero-knowledge, sovereign Stealth Identity.
Through an Australian Notary Node, users could prove to social-media platforms that they are over 16 without revealing their name, birth date or other personal information. The platform receives only the authenticated age result, while the underlying identity remains private within Australia’s sovereign jurisdiction.
The same privacy-preserving authentication can support safer digital communications and authenticated email, combining accountability with data minimisation.
Together, TradeEnabler and WorldKYC show how Australia can include its banks, support responsible digital assets, protect privacy and use blockchain for economic and social benefit.
Join us in Brisbane on 3 September to participate in the conversation and help shape Australia’s next phase of digital trade.
