Decentralized finance needs decentralized identity.

We’re pleased to announce that TradeEnabler and LUMINA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore collaboration connecting financial institutions with the digital asset ecosystem.

LUMINA is among the first decentralized exchanges with which we are pursuing this approach: combining WorldKYC’s decentralized sovereign identity and wallet authentication with TradeEnabler’s governance before settlement.

Our shared ambition is to let users prove verified identity attributes through zero-knowledge proofs, selectively sharing the information required while retaining control over their assets. This brings privacy and accountability together within the DEX ecosystem.

The collaboration will also explore bringing real-world assets, including tokenized bank deposits, to decentralized markets, expanding correspondent relationships and supporting digital asset distribution that meets the requirements of participating financial institutions.

“Decentralized finance needs decentralized identity. Our collaboration with LUMINA aims to connect financial institutions and digital asset markets through sovereign identity, authenticated wallets and governance before settlement, making privacy and accountability work together.”
— Joseph Perry, CEO, TradeEnabler

The MOU establishes our shared intention to collaborate, with implementation and commercial arrangements to be defined in a subsequent agreement.

We look forward to discussing this vision with financial institutions and ecosystem partners at Sibos in Miami.
